Valentine's Day! - Ideas!

Oh Goodness! Valentine's day already passed and now I'm finally writing about my day! My class had a wonderful day! We celebrated Valentine's on Friday so on Thursday we read The Night Before Valentine's Day! The kids loved it! I had some friends saying, "Oh I'm not going to sleep tonight, I have to do so many letters!!" I was very excited to see what they were actually making. I wish I had pictures of them exchanging their valentine's...but I don't! :( It was a beautiful day!
Now, some of the activities we did were :
I gave them a hundreds chart and I told them we had a hidden picture! I called certain numbers and when I finished talking they found a heart in their paper! They were stoked! (I just used a simple 100 chart and traced the heart on my own, then I just called the numbers I touched while tracing the heart).

The decoration of my door was VERY simple with a lot of help of my friends! I gave them a heart-shaped foam and they decorated it! Each heart was different and unique! Super cute and easy!

We used heart candy to do a science experiment. We used vinegar, soda and water. We put almost the same amount of candy on each container. We waited and saw the reaction of the candies on each one of the cups! We saw some bubbles, and some candies floating!

Why not make cute valentine's card for parents? I posted this idea on my Facebook page, click HERE !!!! Easy and cute to make! :)

Well here was my 2016 Valentine's Day! :) Another one for the books!

Currently February!

HELLO FEBRUARY!!!!!! WHATTT??? 100th day of school is coming up soon! Where is time going? We just finished dibels and TRC...YAY! Now Currently,

Listening: La Vie en Rose! I was looking at my Facebook the other day and stumbled upon a youtube video of a this song! I listened to the cover of the girls I went to high school with and honestly is the best one so far! (I am not biased hehe ) PLEASE listen to it HERE!!!

Loving: To be finally in bed. My brother is playing soccer and his practice ended at 7:30... is quite a dive...I am in love with my bed and I try to get home and run to my bed hehe!

Thinking: About my fairy letters: To improve my students desire to write I have a fairy mailbox and they write to them! I love answering them but when a BUNCH of your kids write ALL at once you can't function! I am reading letters that say "Dear Fairy, why haven't you giving me my letter yet?" AH!

Wanting: Wanting to find a videographer. My Fiance and I set the date!!!! YAY! June 24th of this year! Yea, in 5 months! That means that planning has been on going...and even though everything has been working out, I haven't found a videographer! Cross Fingers please!

Needing: To start creating more: I have had my TPT store on the side :( I haven't have time to create which breaks my heart! So many changes are happening ... but I will get back to it soon!

Swooning: Over Wild Fruit Tea! I tried this tea a month ago...and is simply DELISH! One of my favorites! No doubt!

Well that is about it :)
Thank you for stopping by guys!!!
Thank Farley for this awesome Linky!

Snowmen at Night - Art!

Happy Monday!

It has been quite a week thanks to the snowstorm Jonas right? I teach in beautiful North Carolina...we have been OUT of school since Thursday! I do miss my little ones now! Anyhow I wanted to share a cute activity we did some weeks ago. The school is having Literacy Night for the parents to learn how to help their children in reading and tips for them to do at home, to make it more fun each class chooses a book and decorates door and classroom based on the chosen book!
Well we, (I) chose Snowmen at Night, quite fitting right? If you haven't read this book is great for predictions, inferences, and sequencing!
We don't have an art teacher so I have to incorporate it in my class (Which I truly enjoy) and I found this cute activity from The Elementary Art Room !

How cute is that?!?!?!

The fact that the kids have to tear out the paper made my heart jump with joy because sadly the majority of children do not have fine motor skills! Great project and practice!

This is how ours turned out! (We have some still *in process because we have been out of school)
I love to see how creative my students are! They do so well! :)

I mean, I even got an OLAF!!!! :)

Oh and this is my door! Nothing too fancy but cute enough :)

We will write about it soon too so a writing post will be up soon :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Currently JANUARY 2016!!

Happy New Year Y'all!!!! I can't believe is already January! Time is flying by! How many more days until summer?? Goodness gracious! I spent new years in Nashville so I couldn't link up with Farley before..but here is my currently! :)

Listening - Less is More! My Fiance's (YES FIANCE! I GOT ENGAGED ON CHRISTMAS EVE!!!)))) friend has a really sweet band called Less is More. The are from Michigan and their voices are very unique! Check them out!

Loving - My new knitted socks! I was downtown Franklin, Tennessee this week and I went into a little nice shop where I found the most amazing boots! The temperature dropped like 20 degrees today...I put them on and they are so AMAZING! Super warm and cozy! and only $16! :)

Thinking - About school tomorrow! I usually ran into my students at the stores or the mall...I haven't seen any of them and I feel it has been too long! I am quite excited about seeing my little ones tomorrow...but I would love to sleep in more! haha!

Wanting - To pick a date! My fiance and I have been talking a lot about when our big day is going to be...but there has been so much going on that we haven't been able to do it! Either the venues we like are booked or the days they offer don't work for us. :(

Needing - Time with my fiance.  Well obviously I  need him with me to make the decisions...what makes it harder is that he's working in Tennessee while I work in North Carolina.

One little word - LOVE! I mean, what other word can I possibly pick?!?!!! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Happy January!
